Golden Kamuy Finale Award Wins Big Snow Honor in Japan

Golden Kamuis manga has ended its long and popular run with its final chapter, and Shueisha celebrated the occasion with a big snowy tribute in Japan after the series’ finale! Satoru Noda is finished Golden KamuiIt lasted eight years for Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine after the final chapters were announced a few weeks ago, and it’s really hard to convey how much of a franchise it really was for Shueisha. The anime may have drawn it more attention in recent years, but it’s now a huge example of manga size with a special tribute that fits in the spirit of the series.

With Golden KamuiOfficially coming to an end for the manga, Shueisha has teamed up with artist Tomohiro Kajiyama in Hokkaido for a special new tribute. Crafting huge portraits of Seichi Sugimoto and Aserba in the snowy terrain of the Special “Snow Comic” tribute project, this remarkable look of the chain is approximately 328 feet wide and nearly 230 feet high. It should be captured by a drone in order to get a full look at the final tribute, and you can watch a video of the process below:

Golden KamuiThe original manga series may have come to an end, but it’s by far the end of the series in general. Not only will the series get an official feature film in the future, but the fourth anime season is currently scheduled to premiere in October as part of the fall 2022 anime schedule.
